Datokarama English Education Journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Datokarama State Islamic University, Palu, Indonesia.
Aims and Scope
The journal aims to advance scholarly research in English language education and applied linguistics, with particular emphasis on:
- language teaching and learning
- classroom pedagogy and curriculum development
- teacher education and professional development
- language assessment and evaluation
- discourse, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics in educational contexts
The journal publishes original research articles, theoretical studies, and critical reviews that contribute to the development of language education and the scientific study of language in educational settings.
Publication Model
Starting from Volume 1 (2026), the journal organizes its issues as follows:
- Issue 1: January–June
- Issue 2: July–December
The journal adopts a continuous publishing model, under which accepted articles are published online immediately after the completion of peer review and production processes. Articles are assigned to the current issue within the corresponding publication period.
This model supports the timely dissemination of research and enhances academic visibility.
Peer Review and Publication Ethics
All submissions undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure academic quality and integrity. The journal adheres to ethical publishing standards in line with the Committee on Publication Ethics.
Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. All submissions are subject to similarity screening as part of the editorial process.
